Cesspools

Are You Having Problems With Your Cesspool? Cesspool trouble can be frustrating and bring up a lot of questions. "How much will this cost?" and "How long will this take?" are the two most common fears about a cesspool system problem.
You want to choose a company that alleviates both of those concerns by picking one that won’t take advantage of you. You should choose one with a proven track record that has worked with cesspools and the equipment required to fix them, as well as a staff of professionals that knows their way around cesspools.
That’s the Doodyman.
Long Island Cesspool Service:

The Doodyman, based in Elmont, NY on Long Island, has been doing cesspool work since 2001. We have seen it all and have the customer testimonies to back up the fact that we do it right and we do it at the right price. If you are concerned about the cesspool pumping cost, be assured that the Doodyman sets the prices fairly and makes certain that you are satisfied. In fact, the work is guaranteed.
Cesspool cleaning and cesspool pumping require licensed professionals to perform the service. The Doodyman is licensed in Nassau County, Suffolk County, and the 5 NYC boroughs.
Cesspool Maintenance & Inspection:

The Suffolk County Department of Health recommends "cleaning the system every three to five years to prevent the cesspool from becoming overburdened with sludge and scum that will then flow out into the cesspool". Eventually clogging will occur when solids find their way into the system, creating a clogged system that will fail to function. Cesspool treatment is a smart preventative choice and a cesspool maintenance program will help to insure against the high cost of cesspool problems. A cesspool inspection will help determine what is needed. Cesspool cleaning is one service that will be part of your cesspool system maintenance program.
New Construction:

With new construction you may have concerns about cesspool design or even septic system design. The Doodyman has "been there, done that" and can help you with the design phase. We take responsibility for the cesspool installation and cesspool construction. We are aware of the citywide cesspool regulations and can assist you with the cesspool system. In an increasingly-regulated environment, sewage treatment  has to be done correctly, whether it is on a residential or commercial level. There are many companies in New York that provide cesspool services. Not all of them have the experience or, more importantly, the integrity.

Septic Systems

A septic system is a wastewater treatment system on premises that will processes and purify household waste. This is called effluent. The effluent consists—in a residential environment—of blackwater (or toilet water) and grey water, which is from the kitchen sink, bathtub, and the laundry.
The septic system has two main components. The first is a septic tank and a leachfield (or drainfield). The primary treatment of waste occurs in the septic tank, which is where bacteria digest organic materials in the wastewater. After this the effluent  flows into the leachfield for additional or secondary treatment. It is here where the bacteria finish the digestion and purification process, while the wastewater slowly leaches (or infiltrates) into the soil. There are different septic systems types and it is important to deal with a septic company that knows the differences and how to deal with septic system problems.
Septic Tank Problems:

After many years of use, a build-up of sludge on the bottom and floating scum will eventually diminish the effective capacity of the tank. What this means is that waste passes through the tank too fast causing the solids to eventually plug the pipes in the drain field. The overfilling of the tank can occur many times through the years, or even on a day-to day basis. Septic tank problems can be costly, so it is important to choose a company that will give you a fair price and a guarantee. Septic tank repair is what we do and septic tank pumping is part of each day for the Doodyman.
Use of a lot of water on laundry day or other heavy water use will tax your system. What this does is introduce solid waste into the drainfield. When this happens your drain field becomes filled with water. If untreated the effluent begins surfacing on the ground or the sewage backs up into house drains, causing a full-blown problem. The common signs and symptoms could have existed for years. When they show themselves you need to call a professional service that specializes in septic systems and understands how to effectively mitigate the problem.
Septic Tank Maintenance:

The Suffolk County Department of Health recommends "cleaning the system every three to five years to prevent the septic tank from becoming overburdened with sludge and scum that will then flow out into the cesspool." Eventually clogging will occur when solids find their way into the system. A clogged septic system will fail to function. Septic tank treatment is a smart preventative choice and a septic maintenance program will insure against the high cost of septic system problems. A septic inspection will help determine what is needed. Septic cleaning is one septic service that will be part of the septic system maintenance program.
New Construction:

The Doodyman understands all of the septic system types and septic tank installations. When a company is chosen for septic tank design, septic tank price is an important consideration, as well as experience. We have both fair pricing and years of experience. As you choose to work with a company in your new construction project, consider using the Doodyman, in Elmont, Long Island.
